This small weekend home in Shohola, Pennsylvania utilizes the existing stone foundation of an old farmhouse that was demolished several years ago.  Perched above a pond, the pond side of the house features large window opening while the side facing the drive is less porous.  To minimize the profile of the house, upper level functions are tucked into a steep roof and the upstairs bedroom is in essence a large dormer.  To compensate for the small mass of the structure walls are minimized, and circulation at the second level confined to a bridge overlooking the main living space.
